WHAT IS FACIAL REJUVENATION?
Facial Rejuvenation Surgery has as its objective to restore a youthful appearance lost in one’s face through the years.
It is vitally important to emphasize that the results should be completely natural, meaning that no one will be able to tell that you had osmetic surgery.
The great majority of patients turn to their surgeon with fear, because they have seen “results” that were unsatisfactory. This is due many times to out of date techniques that do not correct all the issues that cause the appearance of aging in the face.
The new techniques of Minimal Scars, Endoscopy, Microsurgery and Laser offer results with a very natural and look that are maintained for a long time.
FACE LIFT
RHYTIDECTOMY
Although “lift” means to “raise”, the surgical technique does not actually stretch the skin, but rather repositions any facial structures that have been loosened by the passage of time. One of the most exciting developments with this type of surgery has been the ability, thanks to the latest medical advances, to work on rather broad areas with very minimal incisions, which limits residual scarring as much in length as in location resulting in an imperceptible scar in the majority of cases.
Each patient requires individualized treatment with the objective of always achieving a natural look.

EYE LIFT
Blepharoplasty
The objective of eyelid surgery is to normalize and rejuvenate the area around the eyes in order to achieve a radiant and natural look.
The patient can actually try one, two or three of the following alternatives associated with this surgery:
Excess skin on the upper or lower eyelids
Engorgement or hypertrophy of the orbital muscle of the lower eyelids. Protrusion of the fat deposits of the upper or lower eyelids that surround the eye ball.
Crows feet cannot be improved by a blepharoplasty but rather treated with Botox injections that weaken temporarily (2-4 months) the muscles responsible for creating the facial expressions that cause the wrinkling, or with a Face Lift.
The preoperative study is very important to evaluate any possible assymetries that exist and sagging or lack of support in the eyelid area as well as the vector of the eye in relation to the jawbone in order to rule out any contraindications and avoid possible complications.
Excess upper eyelid skin is usually treated with the removal of the extra skin with a small incision located in the fold of the eyelid itself leaving an invisible scar.
The fat bag that appears most frequently in the upper lid is on the inside edge of the eye and can be extracted through a small incision in the skin leaving an invisible scar or even with with same incision that we used to eliminate the excess skin on the upper eyelid.
In some cases it is beneficial to perform at the same time the accentuation of the eyelid ridge, the relocation of the tear ducts or the elimination of wrinkles between the eyes that are weakening the Corrugator muscle or even the elimination of the fat bags on the lower eyelid taking advantage of the same incision on the upper eyelid.
The blepharoplasty, or Eye Lift, can be done alone or in combination with other procedures, such as a Face Lift in order to obtain a more harmonious result.

WRINKLE LINES
Dermabrasion
Is recommended for treating (perioral) wrinkles around the mouth or any skin irregularities caused by scarring including that resulting from acne.
Eliminates the surface layers of the skin so that they are healed and replaced with new smooth and pinkish skin. During the time of this healing process, which varies from individual to individual, the sun or UV radiation should be avoided as it could cause hyperpigmentation in any treated areas.
While performing a dermabrasion, we will cover the entire area of treatment in order to hide any possible changes in skin tone. For example, if we are doing the wrinkles around the mouth, we should treat the entire anatomical area bordered by the nose on top, the chin on the bottom and the nasolabial folds on both sides.
In some cases it may be necessary to repeat the dermabrasion to achieve optimal results.
Frequently, this procedure is combined with a Face Lift for even better results.
This procedure can be performed with a local or general anesthetic depending on the extent of the treated areas. During the first few days after the procedure, it is necessary to completely immobilize the area and the patient required to eat soft food such as food prepared from a blender and eaten using a straw.

DOUBLE CHIN LIPOSUCTION
Double chin liposuction is a surgical procedure through which we eliminate the fat that has acculuated from the jaw to the neck. This procedure is indicated for those persons that have an open angle from the neck relative to the excess skin. Frequently, in order to improve the results, it is necessary to add a chin implant to correct the skin sag in the neck area.
The surgery last approximately 40 minutes and for recuperation the patient should utilize a compression bandage in order to contain the swelling.
